NASCAR Brasil Challenge 2025 Results: Martelli Secures Overall Title with Strategic Racing and Consistency

December 14, 2025

The decisive NASCAR Brasil weekend, held on the 6th and 7th in Interlagos, came to a close with Jorge Martelli at the top of the 2025 Overall championship. The title, which combines the results of the Brazilian Championship and the Special Edition, required calmness and calculation, even with Martelli entering the lead.

During practice and in Race 1, the driver adopted a conservative pace to avoid compromising his advantage. The fourth place in the Challenge qualifying and the top-3 in the first race broadened his comfort in the standings. On Sunday, however, the Santa Catarina-born driver, now based in Mato Grosso, changed his approach:

Starting from 15th overall, he climbed through the pack to finish as the winner of the Challenge. “It was a well-disputed and tiring race. I was gaining positions until I reached first place in the category,” he said. The strategy included the precise use of the NASCAR Boost: “I knew Alfredinho Ibiapina would use it at the end, so I saved mine for the last lap.”

In the final race, the driver of the Camaro #87 still faced bumps and lost positions, but recovered enough to confirm the title. “The start of the final race is always tight… then I went in search of what I needed to guarantee the title,” he stated.

The trophy adds to the national double championship won in August and the third place in the Special Edition. On the podium, Martelli celebrated emotionally: “It takes a couple of days to sink in… I must thank the fans, the sponsors, Team RC, and my family.”

Already thinking about 2026, he confirmed that he will leave the Challenge to compete in the main category and approved the new RiSE26. “It fits, and I’ve already told Thiago Marques that now it’s time to sign the contract,” he joked. “The new car is spectacular… off the curve.”
