Marc Márquez clinched pole position this Saturday (11) for the German Grand Prix, the 11th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the final phase of qualifying at the Sachsenring circuit, the Ducati rider posted his best lap time of 1:19.041, earning the lead for the third time this year.
The second position went to Álex Márquez, riding a Gresini Ducati that finished 0.061s behind his brother. Fabio Di Giannantonio, aboard a VR46 Ducati, completed the front row in third.
Raúl Fernández claimed fourth on a Trackhouse Aprilia to anchor the second row, followed by Ai Ogura, his teammate, and Fabio Quartararo of Yamaha.

Franco Morbidelli registered the seventh fastest time with a VR46 Ducati, while Marco Bezzecchi, the championship’s second in the standings, was eighth on an Aprilia despite suffering a heavy crash. Jorge Martín, the championship leader, starts ninth on an Aprilia. Pedro Acosta, on KTM, will start tenth, with Francesco Bagnaia on a Ducati and Jack Miller aboard a Pramac Yamaha closing out the top 12.
The lone Brazilian on the MotoGP grid for the 2026 season, Diogo Moreira will need a recovery race. The LCR Honda rider finished fifth in Q1, and with that result will start from 15th position in the Sprint. In the main race, the rider of bike number 11 will start 18th due to a penalty from Friday’s practice for dangerous riding.
Also on Saturday, starting at 10:00, the Sprint at Sachsenring will take place. The German MotoGP Grand Prix is scheduled to start at 9:00 on Sunday.
