The NASCAR Brasil returns to the Autódromo Velocitta, in Mogi Guaçu (SP), this weekend for the second stage of the Special Edition – the eighth and penultimate of the 2025 season. Driver Galid Osman arrives on a high note after his victory on the Curvelo oval and seeks to expand his lead in the special competition.
With the #99 car prepared by the RC team, Osman is living his first season in the category and has been one of the main names in the championship. The driver occupies the second position in the overall standings, with 207 points, and leads the Special Edition table with 59. In his return to the 3,493-meter Velocitta track, the scene of his debut with the Shell team at the beginning of the year, he bets on consistency and the team’s good moment to continue among the protagonists of the dispute.
The circuit located in the interior of São Paulo is considered one of the most technical and challenging on the calendar, with 14 curves and relief variations that demand precision and balance between performance and tire management. For this stage, NASCAR Brasil will use the short circuit, which includes the “Curva da Caipirinha”, a high-inspired stretch from the famous Eau Rouge of Spa-Francorchamps, making the laps even more intense.
After the dominant performance in Curvelo, where he led most of the 100 laps and received the checkered flag in first place, Galid seeks to maintain the regularity that has characterized him since the beginning of the season. The expectation is for three action-packed races over the weekend, on one of the most modern and demanding tracks in the country.
Activities in Mogi Guaçu begin on Friday (31st) with a shakedown at 9:30 am, followed by an extra practice at 11:15 am and the first official practice at 3:00 pm. On Saturday (1st), the drivers return to the track at 9:15 am for the second practice, followed by qualifying at 12:30 pm and Race 1 at 3:30 pm. On Sunday (2nd), the stage program ends with Race 2 at 9:30 am and Race 3 at 1:20 pm.
All the tests will be broadcast live by RedeTV!, ESPN, Disney+, and the official NASCAR Brasil channel on YouTube.
