The Paraná native Gabriel Casagrande dominated Saturday’s NASCAR Brasil Special Edition in Curvelo, Minas Gerais. After securing the pole position with the MX Vogel team, the driver of car 83 won the qualifying race from start to finish, which took place this afternoon at the oval mineiro circuit.
“I’m very happy with this victory. It was a very intense race from start to finish. Galid Osman was very strong and fast, putting a lot of pressure on me. It was a good race without the need for a safety car, which helped our competition a lot. Tomorrow will be even tougher, but we have a good car to aim for another victory,” says Casagrande, who is sponsored by Baterias Júpiter, Axalta, STP, Cresol, OnPetro, Vonder, Atacadão Pneus, Panter, and RP Info.
Casagrande is the current champion of the NASCAR Brasil Special Edition. In 2024, also in Curvelo, the driver took the podium and won the competition title. This year, in addition to the races this weekend, there will be other disputes at Velocitta and Interlagos.
The main event in Curvelo, with a forecast of 100 laps, will take place this Sunday at 13:50, with broadcasts on RedeTV!, ESPN, Disney+, and YouTube.
