Three-time NASCAR Special Edition champion and the overall NASCAR Brasil champion, Gabriel Casagrande aims to reclaim the lead of the 2026 season this weekend at Velocitta Raceway in Mogi Guaçu, São Paulo. The driver from Paraná sits third in the standings with 79 points, just two behind the runner-up.

“Velocitta is a track I like a lot, one of my favorites in Brazil, and we hope to have good races there. The team is in a great moment with wins in the three rounds contested, so that excites us a lot to do a big job and thus we can accumulate many points,” Casagrande says, who has sponsorships from Jupiter Batteries, Axalta, OnPetro, STP, Cresol, RP Info, UFI Filters, Chevrolet and OMP.
Casagrande has won races in Cascavel (PR) and Santa Cruz do Sul (RS) this year. Due to contact on the front wheel at Interlagos in the last round, the driver did not reach the podium and is aiming to reattain the top positions at Velocitta.
The NASCAR Brasil schedule at Velocitta begins on Friday, when the first free practice will be held. Saturday will feature another practice session and the qualifying, followed by the Sprint Race, starting at 1:00 PM. Sunday is reserved for the races, scheduled for 9:00 AM and 2:15 PM. SBT and NSports televise the first race, while ESPN and Disney+ show the second race. The category’s YouTube channel streams the full schedule beginning with qualifying.
