F3: Pedro Clerot Starts from the Second Row in Monaco Sprint Race

June 5, 2026

Pedro Clerot, a driver in his debut Formula 3 season, faced a demanding qualifying for the series’ second round, held on the Monte Carlo street circuit in Monaco. In a group-based session on Friday, the Rodin Motorsport driver from Brazil finished in the top five of his group and will start third in the Sprint and ninth for the main race.

The first F4 Brasil champion went onto the track in the last of the two groups during qualifying, posting a best lap of 1 minute 25.129 seconds. Clerot highlighted the solid result in the session that set the starting grid, even though he couldn’t complete his final quick lap due to traffic on the track.

“For the Sprint we will start from third position and we have a chance to score points in both events of the weekend. We are going after that. In qualifying we couldn’t do the last lap, which could have placed us even further ahead on the grid for the main race because of the traffic. Still, we had a good result,” said Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.

The 2026 Formula 3 season has so far featured only one round, held in Australia, in which Clerot finished eighth in the main race. The result leaves him eighth in the standings with four points. After nearly three months without races, the Brazilian aims to add points to climb the championship table.

The Monaco weekend’s opening race will be the Sprint, scheduled to start at 5:45 a.m. local time on Saturday (the 6th). The main event is set to begin at 2:55 a.m. on Sunday. F1TV will broadcast the double-header live.
