F2 Hungary: Maini Takes Pole Position as Câmara Starts Second in the Feature Race

Kush Maini seized pole position on Friday (24) for the eighth round of the 2026 Formula 2 season. In the classification held this morning at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary, the ART Grand Prix driver clocked 1m28.896s, earning the top spot for the Sunday race.

The runner-up was Rafael Câmara, the Invicta Racing driver from Brazil, who finished 0.117s behind Maini. Noel León, piloting a Campos Racing car, will start third, lining up on the second row with Joshua Durksen, who was fourth for Invicta. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, from ART Grand Prix, closes the top five.

Laurens van Hoepen, driving for Trident, will start sixth, while Nikola Tsolov, the championship leader, begins seventh with Campos Racing. Dino Beganovic, with DAMS, is eighth, and Gabriele Mini, in a MP Motorsport car, starts ninth. Sebastian Montoya, from Prema, was tenth and will lead the Sprint. Emmo Fittipaldi will start from fifteenth position in both races with AIX Racing.

The F2 schedule resumes on Saturday (25), with the Sprint race starting at 9:15 a.m. The main race is set for Sunday, beginning at 6:25 a.m.
