Leonardo Fornaroli emerged victorious in the main race of the tenth stage of the 2025 Formula 2 season, held at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary, on Sunday (3). The Invicta driver took the lead during the pit stop window, when he overtook Roman Stanek, his teammate, and despite a five-second penalty for excessive speed in the pit lane, went on to win for the third time this year.
The second position was secured by Stanek, who led the race until the moment of his pit stop, when he was overtaken by Fornaroli, and defended his position from the attacks of Jak Crawford, relegating the DAMS driver to third place. Luke Browning, with a Hitech car, closed the competition with a fourth-place finish, followed by Richard Verschoor, who finished fifth with MP Motorsport.
Arvid Lindblad crossed the finish line in sixth place aboard a Campos Racing car after defending himself from Dino Beganovic in the final laps, with the Hitech driver finishing seventh. Oliver Goethe, from MP Motorsport, was eighth, while Alexander Dunne crossed the finish line in ninth. Josep María Martí, the winner of the Sprint on Saturday, was tenth with Campos Racing.
The race featured neutralizations. The first occurred on the sixth lap with a virtual Safety Car neutralization after Amaury Cordeel stopped on the track due to engine problems with the Rodin-prepared car. On lap 10, there was another activation of the virtual Safety Car after Victor Martins had problems with the ART Grand Prix car and parked on the circuit.
The next stage of Formula 2 is scheduled for September 5, 6, and 7, at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, in Italy.
