F2 Hungarian Sprint Race: Marti Secures Victory Amidst Challenges from Lindblad and Dunne

October 11, 2025

Josep María Martí emerged victorious on Saturday (2) in the Sprint of the tenth stage of the 2025 Formula 2 season, held at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary. The Campos Racing driver started from pole position, defended against attacks from Arvid Lindblad in the first half of the race, and from Alexander Dunne on the final lap to triumph in the weekend’s short race.

The second position was secured by Dunne, a Rodin driver who finished two tenths behind. Jak Crawford, driving a DAMS car, completed the podium with a third-place finish after overtaking Lindblad on the final lap. Victor Martins came in fourth with ART Grand Prix after Arvid Lindblad and Luke Browning were penalized hours after the race for gaining an advantage by leaving the track while competing for positions with him.

Championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli finished fifth with Invicta, followed by Richard Verschoor in sixth place with MP Motorsport. Oliver Goethe, also from MP Motorsport, and Dino Beganovic from Hitech, completed the points-scoring zone. Penalized, Lindblad dropped from fourth to tenth place, while Browning fell from fifth to 12th position.

The race featured a Safety Car entry on the 22nd of 28 laps at Hungaroring, after Sebastian Montoya experienced problems and parked his Prema car on the pit straight.

The final race of the tenth stage of Formula 2 will take place on Sunday (3), starting at 5:00 AM.
