Oliver Goethe was the fastest driver on the first day of post-season testing in Formula 2, held at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. During the activities on Wednesday (10), the MP Motorsport driver recorded a time of 1min37s203 in his best lap, completing 82 laps throughout the day in the United Arab Emirates.
The second position was taken by Rafael Câmara, the Formula 3 champion, who was surpassed by Goethe by 0s066. The Invicta driver completed 74 laps and was followed by his teammate for next year, Joshua Durksen, who scored the third-best time of the day. Gabriele Mini, with an MP Motorsport car, was the fourth fastest, while Mari Boya, from Prema, was the fifth.
Sebastian Montoya, with a Prema car, recorded the sixth-best time of the session, finishing just ahead of Noel León, seventh best with Campos Racing. Kush Maini, with an ART Grand Prix equipment, was the eighth, while Alexander Dunne, from Rodin, scored the ninth-best mark. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, from ART Grand Prix, was the tenth.
In addition to Câmara, the day of testing of the main access category to Formula 1 had another Brazilian. Emmo Fittipaldi, who will defend AIX Racing next season, finished with the 19th best time. The son of Emerson Fittipaldi was one of the only three drivers who had their fastest mark of the day recorded in the morning.
