Formula 1 returns this weekend with the Barcelona Grand Prix, the seventh round of the 2026 season. The schedule begins on Friday (the 12th), with the two opening free practice sessions taking place at the Circuit de Catalunya.
FP1 is scheduled for 08:30, while FP2 runs at 12:00, always in Brasília time (GMT-3). The sessions will be important for teams to start dialing in the cars on a traditional calendar circuit, known for demanding a lot from aerodynamics and tires.
Fans will be able to watch all sessions live over the weekend. F1MANIA.NET will provide real-time, text-based coverage of all on-track activities. F1 TV Pro will broadcast all practice sessions, qualifying, and the race with video. Sportv also airs the entire schedule live, while TV Globo will only show Sunday’s race.
The schedule continues on Saturday (13) with FP3 at 07:30 and qualifying at 11:00, the session that will set the starting grid for the race. On Sunday (14), the start for the Barcelona Grand Prix is scheduled for 10:00.
Expectations for the Spanish round are high after the events of the Monaco Grand Prix, won by Kimi Antonelli. The Barcelona circuit tends to offer a more faithful snapshot of the cars’ performance, making the weekend an important reference for the rest of the season.
