On the eve of the British Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton offered an assessment of Ferrari’s work and also commented on the anticipation of racing again at Silverstone, now approaching his second home weekend as a driver for the Italian team.
The seven-time world champion stressed that the evolution process within Ferrari requires patience and ongoing work. According to Hamilton, the environment he found at the Italian outfit since his arrival strengthens his confidence in the project developed in Maranello:
“There is no magic solution in motorsport. It takes many small steps, built over months of hard work, dedication, and belief from everyone involved – and that is what I have seen at Ferrari. I am proud of this team and of the journey we are on together. I have seen a group of people who are committed, hardworking, and truly collaborative, and that gives me a lot of confidence, knowing that everyone is working tirelessly in Maranello and between races. Now it’s about continuing to build, finding consistency, and getting the maximum out of each weekend.”

In addition to assessing Ferrari’s current state, the Briton also spoke about the meaning of racing the event at Silverstone in front of the local crowd. For him, the traditional British circuit brings unique characteristics both in terms of technical challenge and the support from fans: “There is no place like Silverstone. It is one of the fastest and most demanding circuits on the calendar, and those high-speed sections, especially Maggotts, Becketts and Copse, are a real test because you are carrying so much speed with the car fully loaded at every direction change. There aren’t many places on circuits that challenge you in the same way. It’s not just the layout that makes it special. More than anything, it’s the atmosphere. The support here is always incredible, and you can genuinely feel that energy when you’re on the track, it adds something extra to the full experience.”
The British Grand Prix takes place from July 3 to 5. F1MANIA.NET provides real-time coverage.
