NASCAR Brasil: Gabriel Casagrande Wins Two Races at Chapecó Autodrome Opening, Remains Strong in Title Fight

November 3, 2026

The driver who represents AMattheis Vogel in NASCAR Brazil, Gabriel Casagrande, had a Sunday of great prominence at the Autódromo Internacional de Chapecó (SC), where the penultimate round of the 2026 season was held. The owner of car number 83 won two races and finished the final event with a second-place result, becoming the points leader on the oval track of Brazil’s newest circuit.

Casagrande showed strength throughout the weekend. Fastest on Friday, the Paraná native clinched pole position on Saturday. In the morning race, the driver led from start to finish, while in the second race, held this afternoon, he surged through the field to triumph again. In the deciding race that closed the round, Gabriel finished just two tenths behind the winner.

“I had a phenomenal car today. I can only thank the team for the excellent work and the sponsors who make this possible. My effort is possible only because of my team’s work. It was two victories and a second place, and there are still 75 points left to race for in Brasília, so I am excited and confident. If we maintain this performance, we will fight to bring the title home,” Casagrande said shortly after the round’s end.

“I’m happy, because it’s another first-class circuit in Brazil, near the southwest of Paraná, where I was born. Today my grandmother was at the track for the first time, so I could deliver excellent results for her,” completed Gabriel Casagrande, who is sponsored by Jupiter Batteries, Axalta, Cresol, OnPetro, STP, RP Info, UFI Filters and Aeropark Camboriú.

The NASCAR Brazil championship will be decided on November 29, at the Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet, in Brasília (DF).
