The 2026 NASCAR Brasil season reaches its sixth round this weekend, scheduled at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Londrina, Paraná. The AMattheis Vogel driver Gabriel Casagrande heads to northern Paraná in search of the championship lead after winning the opening stage of the last round in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso.
After passing through Cuiabá, the capital of Mato Grosso, the driver of car number 83 sits in second place in the standings, only four points behind the championship leader. The last time the series visited the 3,145-meter track, Casagrande earned a podium and secured pole position for the round.
“We head to Londrina with our usual objective, which is to fight for the front positions and collect as many points as possible. We come from a Cuiabá round where I won the first race and the car’s pace was very strong, so I trust the team to maintain that performance and, who knows, finish the weekend at the top of the championship,” said Gabriel Casagrande, who is backed by Baterias Júpiter, Axalta, Cresol, OnPetro, STP, RP Info, UFI Filters and Aeropark Camboriú.
In this season, Casagrande has secured three victories, including the opening stage of the Cuiabá round, which was awarded the points of a single race, along with four podium finishes and five top-five results. Consequently, the driver has accumulated 140 points with two rounds remaining in the first phase of the championship, which will conclude with playoffs to crown the champion.
The schedule for the sixth NASCAR Brasil round will begin this Friday with an extra practice and the first free session. On Saturday there will be another warm-up, followed by the qualifying with the Sprint Race, starting at 14:05. The races are set for Sunday at 9:00 and 14:00.
