Isack Hadjar is in Zandvoort, but he will not be able to compete in the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix this weekend. With a fractured wrist, the Red Bull Racing driver summed up his condition in a single word when asked about the state of his wrist.
Hadjar suffered the fracture during a training session (boxing, according to some rumors) held as preparation for the Dutch round. The Frenchman had hoped to resume the season after the August break, but had to sit out this weekend’s race.
Even injured, Hadjar traveled to the Netherlands and is present in the F1 paddock. He kept his arm hidden under his jacket and appeared to be heavily bandaged, possibly immobilized, due to the position maintained by the driver.
Upon arriving at the Red Bull Energy Station, Hadjar greeted a team member. Asked by GPblog about the state of his arm, Max Verstappen’s teammate replied directly, using only one word to describe the situation: “Shit!”.

For now, there is still no definition about when Hadjar might return to competition. Red Bull said it will carry out a new assessment in the coming weeks before making a decision, while the expectation is that the Frenchman could be sidelined for a longer period.

The recovery from a small wrist fracture usually takes a few weeks, and an uneven circuit can cause considerable pain or even increase the risk of further damage. For this weekend, Liam Lawson was promoted from Racing Bulls to replace Hadjar, while Yuki Tsunoda takes the New Zealander’s place at the sister team.
