The driver who defends Team RC in NASCAR Brasil, Cacá Bueno, will race this weekend in the fifth stage of the 2026 season, scheduled for the Autódromo Internacional de Mato Grosso in Cuiabá. It will be the first time a national category uses the circuit’s external oval, inaugurated in November 2025, and the expectation is for one of the tightest battles of the year in the sole night race.
Owner of a Sprint Race victory, earned in Interlagos, and with two podiums this year, the driver of car number 0 emphasizes the importance of straight-line speed and the work with slipstreaming for a race on an external oval. In a weekend with a different dynamic, with races separated by a short interval, Cacá, currently sixth in the championship, recalls that performance in the practice sessions will be fundamental.

“This will be the first time that everyone races on the Cuiabá external oval, so the practice sessions will be important to learn the layout and to set the car up. This weekend the races will run back-to-back, so we need to deliver a strong performance in the car already for the qualifying, because that’s where we’ll have good chances in the races,” says Cacá Bueno, who sponsors Betnacional, Capital Concreto, PicPay, ACDelco, SpeedMax Pneus, Pneu Store, Milwaukee, Turbi and Chevrolet.
The NASCAR Brasil activities begin this Thursday with the first free practice at 21:35 local time. The second practice is scheduled for 18:10 on Friday and, on the same day, the qualifying and the Sprint Race take place starting at 21:35. The first race is scheduled for 18:05 on Saturday with the second starting at 18:50 on the same day, all times in Brasília time.
