Liam Lawson delivered his first verdict on Racing Bulls’ latest update package, rolled out during the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix weekend.
The New Zealander watched his teammate Arvid Lindblad run the new components at Spa-Francorchamps, while he himself would have the VCARB03 developed only for this round in Hungary.
The Briton used a revised chassis, with the Santantonio visibly different as the most noticeable change, and this marked a significant step forward — Lindblad finished inside the points in Belgium. Therefore, speaking after the race, Lawson showed optimism, even though he had not yet used Racing Bulls’ upgrade.
“É, quer dizer, obviamente ele tem sido muito rápido no fim de semana, então é muito positivo. Tudo o que temos trazido, tudo o que a equipe vem desenvolvendo, tem funcionado. Então, sim, estou muito animado para [o Grande Prêmio da Hungria]”, falou.
