Marco Bezzecchi, the MotoGP standings’ runner-up, is out of the German Grand Prix, the 11th round of the 2026 season. The Aprilia rider suffered an accident during the crucial phase of qualifying held Saturday morning (11) at the Sachsenring circuit, an incident that caused a fracture to the Italian’s left clavicle, which will require surgery.
The crash occurred at Turn 7 of the German circuit during this morning’s Q2 qualifying. The Italian lost the rear of his Aprilia and was launched, sliding along the track and coming to rest in the gravel trap. After being taken to the circuit’s medical center, an X-ray confirmed the injury.

According to information from the Sachsenring circuit, Bezzecchi is expected to fly back to Italy as soon as possible. In his homeland, the rider will undergo surgery to repair his left clavicle. It is not yet possible to specify a return date for the rider.
Without Bezzecchi, MotoGP will host the Sachsenring Sprint this Saturday, with a drop of the flag at 10:00. The German Grand Prix is scheduled for this Sunday, starting at 9:00.
