Marco Bezzecchi was the fastest rider in the opening practice for the Dutch Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the session held on Friday morning (26) at the Assen circuit, the Aprilia rider and current championship leader posted a best lap of 1:32.311, not being topped by any rivals.

Second place went to Francesco Bagnaia, the Ducati rider who finished only 0.098 seconds behind Bezzecchi’s time. Jorge Martín, aboard the other official Aprilia, ended the session with the third-best time, ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio, fourth on a VR46 Ducati. The group of the five fastest also included Ai Ogura, on an Aprilia from Trackhouse.
Raúl Fernández, Ogura’s teammate, finished the session in sixth place, while Joan Mir, on a Honda, was seventh fastest. Fermín Aldeguer, riding a Gresini Ducati, appeared eighth on the timesheet, with Maverick Viñales on a Tech3 KTM in ninth. The winner of the last two GPs, Marc Márquez, completed the top 10 aboard a Ducati.
Also drawing attention for finishing outside the top-10 were Pedro Acosta, who posted the 11th time on an official KTM, and Brazilian Diogo Moreira, 11th on a LCR Honda.
From 10:00, the session will determine the ten riders who will advance directly to Q2. Saturday will feature a free practice at 5:10, qualifying at 5:50, and the Sprint from 10:00. The Dutch MotoGP will be held on Sunday, with the start at 9:00.
