F1: Brazilian Rafael Câmara to Test with Ferrari in Barcelona

June 16, 2026

Ferrari will give Rafael Câmara yet another opportunity this week in Barcelona. The Brazilian will participate in a private session on Thursday (the 18th), using the SF-25, the car used in last year’s Formula 1 championship. The information comes from the Italian site Autoracer.

The test will take place after Pirelli’s tests for the development of the 2027 tires, held between Tuesday and Wednesday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Cadillac and Aston Martin will also participate in the Italian manufacturer’s program. Charles Leclerc will be in action on both days for the Maranello team, while Jak Crawford will drive for Aston Martin on Tuesday. Guanyu Zhou, for his part, will participate in the two sessions with Cadillac.

However, Ferrari’s work does not end with the official tests. The team will remain in Catalonia on Thursday for a TPC session (Test of Previous Cars) with the SF-25, recently used at the Hungaroring in Hungary, with Câmara.

The Brazilian continues to gain space within Ferrari’s development program. The Formula 3 champion in 2025, Rafael is competing in Formula 2 this year, and last Sunday (the 14th) he secured his first victory in the main race of the weekend for the category at the Barcelona Grand Prix.
