Volkswagen unveiled for the first time the new Tukan pickup, a model showcased at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), during the event unveiling the Brazilian national team players called up for the 2026 World Cup. The vehicle appeared in green and yellow camouflage and was shown for the first time alongside coach Carlo Ancelotti and the Canarinho Pistola mascot.
The pickup represents Volkswagen’s first vehicle developed on the MQB platform, developed in Brazil. Despite the camouflage, it was revealed that the vehicle’s name, Tukan, would appear on the rear tailgate, a first for the brand in Brazil. Additionally, the vehicle features a rear suspension with a leaf-spring assembly, which, according to the manufacturer, ensures comfort and cargo capacity.
The camouflage takes into account azulejo tiles found in bars across Brazil, since those are the places where people typically gather to watch the Brazilian national team’s matches across the country.

The model was designed entirely in Brazil, and its production will take place at the São José dos Pinhais plant (PR). The Volkswagen Tukan is part of a series of 21 launches by the manufacturer through 2028, supported by investments of R$ 20 billion.
Due to the sponsorship of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), announced in February of this year, the model has Canary Yellow as one of its confirmed colors.
