June 4, 2026

MotoGP continues the 2026 season this weekend with the Hungarian GP, the eighth round of the championship scheduled at the Balaton Park circuit. The Hungarian leg promises to be another chapter in the battle for the lead of the world’s premier motorcycle racing category, in addition to featuring events in Moto2 and Moto3.

The MotoGP championship standings continue led by Marco Bezzecchi, who has 178 points after seven races. The Italian holds a 17-point advantage over his Aprilia teammate and runner-up Jorge Martin, who totals 156. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with 134, is third, followed by Pedro Acosta, fourth with 103. Ai Ogura closes the top five with 92 points. Diogo Moreira is 17th with 23.

In Moto2, the leading position on the standings is Manuel González, who has 129.5 points, while Izan Guevara, with 95, occupies second place. Celestino Vietti is third with 93 points, and is followed by Senna Agius, fourth with 78. The top five in the intermediate class also includes Daniel Holgado, with 65.

Among Moto3 competitors, the lead is held by Máximo Quiles, who has 145 points. Álvaro Carpe is second with 93, while Adrian Fernández sits third with 90. The group of the five best in the World Championship’s entry class also includes Veda Pratama, with 67, and Marco Morelli, with 62.

The program at Balaton Park will begin this Friday with a free practice and the session that determines the direct qualifiers to Q2 for the session that sets the starting grid. Saturday will feature another free practice, the qualifying, and, for MotoGP, the Sprint. The races are scheduled for Sunday. Disney+ streams all activities, and ESPN shows Friday’s practice, the qualifying sessions, and the races.
