The NASCAR Brasil held on Saturday morning (6), the second and last training session of the weekend for the grand final of the Overall and Special Edition championships. In a session marked by the already strong sun at the Autódromo de Interlagos, Vitor Genz (RMattheis) led with 1min49s560.
The second-best lap was by Tito Giaffone (Full Time). The rookie, who is competing in the Challenge class, was only 0s199 behind Genz. The third-best lap was by Gui Backes (MX Vogel), also from the Challenge class, who did 1min49s778m. Next came Dudu Barrichello, who is driving his father Rubens’ car (Full Time). He scored 1min50s004. Witold Ramasauskas (Team RC) was the fifth fastest, 0s499 behind the leader.
Ricardo Zonta (RMattheis) placed sixth, with 1min50s211. Meanwhile, Felipe Tozzo (Team RC), who led yesterday’s session, secured the seventh time, 1min50s262. Gabriel Casagrande (MX Vogel) came right behind, with 1min50s365. The ninth-best lap was marked by the duo Julio Campos/Alex Seid (MX Vogel), who scored 1min50s461. Alfredinho Ibiapina (Full Time) closed the top-10 with 1min50s472.
Still on Saturday, the NASCAR Brasil will hold the qualifying session at 12h. Following that, the Category’s Race 1 will take place at 15h30.
