Jorge Martín won this Saturday (the 8th) the Sprint at the England GP, the 12th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. The Aprilia rider, who started from pole, stayed in the lead throughout the ten laps raced at Silverstone, widening the gap to his rivals with every lap to clinch the victory this afternoon.
The second position went to Ai Ogura, Trackhouse’s Aprilia rider who couldn’t keep up with Martín pace during the race. Marco Bezzecchi, aboard the other official Aprilia, completed the podium in third, followed by Álex Márquez in fourth with the Gresini Ducati, while Fabio Di Giannantonio, on the VR46 Ducati, finished fifth.
Pedro Acosta, on a KTM, finished the race in sixth, just ahead of Joan Mir, seventh on a Honda. Franco Morbidelli, with VR46’s other Ducati, ended the race in eighth place, while Marc Márquez, on a Ducati, closed the points-scoring positions in ninth. Diogo Moreira, aboard a LCR Honda, completed the top-10 of the race.
The British GP will take place this Sunday (9), with the start scheduled for 9:00.

The Silverstone race began with Jorge Martín maintaining the lead, followed by Ai Ogura, who moved up to second, ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio. Marco Bezzecchi appeared in fourth, pressured by Marc Márquez. Diogo Moreira dropped to 15th, while Cal Crutchlow crashed but rejoined the race.
Also in the first lap, Márquez overtook Bezzecchi for fourth place, while Iker Lecuona crashed the Gresini Ducati in the final sector of the track after a duel with Franco Morbidelli. Moreira, further back, moved up to 12th. In the leading pack, Di Giannantonio began pressuring Ogura, who was a little further from Martín, the leader.
On lap four, Raúl Fernández crashed at turn 4, rejoining the race shortly after. Crutchlow, in turn, returned to the pits. In front, Martín opened a seven-tenths gap over Ogura, who carried Di Giannantonio with him. A little further back, Álex Márquez launched an attack on Bezzecchi, contending for fifth position. Moreira, meanwhile, advanced to 11th.
Under pressure from Álex Márquez, Bezzecchi moved up on Marc Márquez, taking fourth place on the fifth lap. Shortly after, the Gresini rider pressed the Ducati official team rider, claiming fifth position as the race entered the sixth lap. Moreira overtook Quartararo and moved up to tenth.
With a strong pace, Bezzecchi closed in on Di Giannantonio to fight for third place, making the move on the seventh lap. Soon after, the VR46 Italian found Álex Márquez approaching. Martín, in turn, widened his lead over Ogura with three laps remaining. A little further back, Pedro Acosta passed Marc Márquez to take sixth place.
With two laps to go, Álex Márquez passed Di Giannantonio for fourth, while Marc Márquez was overtaken by Joan Mir, dropping to eighth. At the front, Martín continued to win, followed by Ogura and Bezzecchi. Moreira finished tenth.
