Moto3: Almansa Takes Czech GP Pole Position, Beats Danish

David Almansa seized pole position for the Czech Grand Prix, the ninth round of the 2026 Moto3 season. In the final phase of qualifying held on Saturday morning (the 20th) at the Brno circuit, the Intact GP rider posted his best lap at 2m04.069s, earning the top spot for Sunday’s race.

The second place went to Hakim Danish, MSI rider who was edged by just 0.017 seconds. The front row will also include Máximo Quiles, the Aspar rider who leads the championship and will start third. Álvaro Carpe, from Ajo, starts fourth, just ahead of his teammate, Brian Uriarte. The top six is completed by Eddie O’Shea, of GRYD.

Scott Ogden, the CIP rider, starts seventh, just ahead of Veda Pratama, eighth aboard a Team Asia bike. Joel Kelso, from GRYD, starts ninth, while Connor O’Gorman will line up tenth with SIC58. Matteo Bertelle, from MTA, and Guido Pini, from Leopard Racing, complete the list of the 12 best on the grid.

The ninth round of the 2026 Moto3 season will take place this Sunday, with the start scheduled for 6:00 local time.
