F3: Pedro Clerot Eyes Championship Progress at Spa, Where He Won for the First Time in Europe

July 14, 2026

A Brazilian driver in his first Formula 3 season, Pedro Clerot faces another challenge this weekend as the series visits Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The fast 7.004-meter track brings back fond memories for the Rodin Motorsport driver, since it was there that the Brasília-born racer secured his first victory in Europe.

Clerot redirected his career to Europe in 2023, when he left F4 Brasil, where he was the champion of the first season in the category, to race in Spanish F4. Right at the first round of that championship, held over a triple-header weekend, the Brazilian won two races and finished second in another, proving his credentials on the Old Continent.

Now, Clerot heads to the round aiming to move up in the standings at the opening of the latter half of the season. The driver of Rodin’s car number 17 sits eighth in the standings, with 40 points, in a campaign that has yielded two podiums, two top-5s and points in five of the six rounds so far this year.

“I really like Spa; it’s a fast track that brings back good memories, as I won there at the start of my journey in Europe. Our car has shown good pace in the recent rounds, and we are aiming for solid results once again. A strong qualifying will be important to stay at the front in both races,” says Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.

The Formula 3 schedule at Spa-Francorchamps will open on Friday (the 17th), with the single free practice session of the weekend and the qualifying that will determine the starting positions for the two races. The Sprint will start at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the main race is scheduled for 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. F1TV will broadcast all activities live.
