Alessandro Giusti was the fastest driver on the first day of post-season testing of Formula 3, held this Tuesday (7) at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto circuit in Spain. The Frenchman, who finished the championship this year in tenth position, recorded his best lap in the first of the two sessions of the day, setting a time of 1min30s732 with a car from MP Motorsport.

Freddie Slater, the driver leading the FRECA championship, was the second best, finishing two tenths away from the time achieved by Giusti. Mattia Colnaghi, with another MP Motorsport car, was the third best, while Jesse Carrasquedo completed the session with the fourth time with Van Amersfoort. Tuukka Taponen, from MP Motorsport, was the fifth.

Ugo Ugochukwu placed Campos Racing in sixth position on the timesheet, while Noah Stromsted, from Trident, was the seventh fastest of the day. The eighth place ended up in the hands of Ernesto Rivera, with another Campos car. Christian Ho, from Rodin, was the ninth, and Matteo de Palo, with a Trident equipment, closed the list of the top ten.

The day of testing featured the participation of two Brazilians. Pedro Clerot recorded the 11th best mark of the day with a Rodin car, in what was his first contact with an F3. Fernando Barrichello, who contested the last stage of this year and will run the 2026 season, was the 29th with an AIX Racing car.

Formula 3 will hold another day of testing on Wednesday, closing the Jerez battery.
