F3 Barcelona Testing: Ugochukwu Takes Top Spot on Wednesday Collective Test Session

Ugo Ugochukwu was the fastest driver on the first day of collective Formula 3 testing at the Circuit de Barcelona in Spain. In the first of the sessions held on Wednesday (15) in Montmeló, the Campos Racing driver recorded a best time of 1min28s322, which was not surpassed by the other drivers.

The second position was taken by Théophile Nael, also from Campos Racing, who finished 0s170 behind Ugochukwu’s time. Louis Sharp, with Prema, scored the third best time of the day, followed by Christian Ho, who was fourth best with Rodin, a team that also saw Brando Badoer complete the top-5.

Brazilian driver Pedro Clerot, with another Rodin car, closed the day with the sixth best time, finishing ahead of James Wharton, seventh with Prema. Noah Stromsted, a Trident driver, scored the eighth best mark, with Bruno Del Pino, from Van Amersfoort, finishing ninth. The list of the top ten fastest drivers also included Enzo Deligny, from Prema.

Best driver in the afternoon session at the Circuit de Barcelona, Maciej Gladysz was the 11th fastest overall with an ART Grand Prix car. Fernando Barrichello finished with the 29th best time in the combined two activities of the day in Spain.

The F3 activities in Spain will continue on Thursday (16), with two more sessions scheduled.
