Daniel Holgado has secured the pole position for the Valencian Community Grand Prix, the final decision of the 2025 Moto2 season. In the final qualifying phase held on Saturday (15) at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in the Spanish city of Valencia, the Aspar rider recorded a time of 1min31s715 in his best lap, earning the honor for the fourth time this year.
The second position on the grid went to Izán Guevara, a Pramac rider who was ultimately outdone by Holgado by 0s158. Senna Agius, on a bike prepared by Intact GP, completes the first row with the third position. Albert Arenas, the fastest in Q1, showed strength and opens the second row with the fourth position on a Gresini bike.
Vice-leader of the championship and still with title chances, Manuel González starts from the fifth position on an Intact GP bike. The Spaniard needs to win the race to have a chance of leaving Valencia as champion. Alex Escrig, on a Forward bike, completes the list of the top six on the grid for the final stage of the season.
Collin Veijer will start from the seventh position with Ajo, a team that saw Daniel Muñoz finish in eighth place. Championship leader Diogo Moreira will start ninth with Italtrans. The rider of bike number 10 only needs a 14th place finish to be champion and also guarantees the title if González does not win.
Celestino Vietti will start from the tenth position in Sunday’s race on a SpeedRS bike, while Iván Ortolá, from MSI, will start from the 11th position. The group of the top 12 on the grid for the Andalusian stage of Moto2 will also include Aron Canet, a Fantic team rider.
