Brazilian Rafa Câmara Signs with Invicta and Prepares for 2026 Formula 2 Debut

October 29, 2025

The Formula 2 is set to have a Brazilian driver back on the grid starting from the 2026 season. On Tuesday (26), Invicta Racing announced Rafael Câmara, the 2025 Formula 3 champion, as a titular driver for the next year.

“Another guaranteed champion. We are very happy to announce that Rafael Câmara will complete our driver lineup for 2026”, wrote the team, in Portuguese, on their social media.

This year, the competitor took part in the F3 representing Trident. With one stage of anticipation, he conquered the title of champion. In his campaign, he achieved five podiums, including four victories in the main race of the weekend.

Prior to this, Rafa was the vice-champion in the Formula 4 of the United Arab Emirates in 2022, in addition to passing through categories such as Italian Formula 4 and European Regional Formula – the latter being a champion in 2024.

“I am very proud to join Invicta Racing for my first season in Formula 2. Over the past few years, this team has become the main target of any driver who wants to run in F2 and has repeatedly demonstrated that they know how to develop young drivers”, said the Brazilian.

“Following Gabriel Bortoleto and Leonardo Fornaroli in this stage as Formula 3 champion is a great honor. After an incredible season in F3 this year, I feel ready for the next challenge and can’t wait to start with the team”, he added.

James Robinson, team principal of Invicta Racing, also added that “we are very happy to welcome Rafael to Invicta Racing for 2026. At every stage of his career so far, he has shown pace, consistency, and maturity, delivering exceptional results that really speak for themselves.”

“Having the current Formula 3 champion join the team for the third consecutive season reinforces our commitment to providing the best young talents with a platform to perform at the highest level, and we are very excited to see what Rafael can achieve in the next season”, he concluded.
