BASF Cassette Tape Livery on McIntosh BMW in Barcelona

October 5, 2026

Anthony McIntosh’s No. 69 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 Evo is preparing to honor the celebrated BASF ‘Cassette Tape’ livery BMW employed in the early 1980s during the forthcoming FIA World Endurance Championship event in Barcelona.

Disclosed by the Belgian squad on Monday, the LMGT3 entry will sport the well-known red-and-white scheme that adorned the BMW M1 Procar and Group 4/5 competition cars.

Those circles arranged on the livery are intended to evoke the turning reels of a cassette tape.

As always, McIntosh will team up with Parker Thompson and Dan Harper. The trio currently sits eighth in the standings after securing a sixth-place finish in class at last month’s 6 Hours of Fuji.

Throughout the season, McIntosh has carried distinctive liveries tied to earlier BMW models or BMW-powered machines in every World Endurance Championship round.
