Murilo Rocha Kicks Off NASCAR Brasil Playoffs in Chapecó

October 27, 2026

At 17 years old, Murilo Rocha begins this weekend his first playoff bid in NASCAR Brasil. The Chapecó round (SC) will present an extra challenge for the driver: it will be the first time he, the series, and the circuit itself take on an oval race, as the eighth round of the season opens its inaugural edition.

Murilo reaches the playoff phase after a strong start in the category. In his debut year, he leads the Rookie of the Year standings, sits third in the Challenge class, and earned a playoff berth in tenth place. During the season, the young driver also managed to outrun well-known names in Brazilian motorsport.

The title battle begins with 12 drivers, who receive 20 extra points to start the playoffs. After three races, only the six best remain in the championship fight, whose finale is scheduled for the end of November.

Murilo’s objective in Chapecó is to accumulate important points and return to contending for podiums and victories. Adapting to the oval will be one of the weekend’s main challenges, since all drivers will have their first contact with the new track layout.

“This round will bring the oval circuit novelty to Chapecó. I hope we are competitive over the weekend and able to add meaningful points to the championship playoffs, fighting for wins and podiums again, delivering results for my team and for Mobil. I count on everyone’s support.”
