Jorge Martín continues to hold the MotoGP lead after the Sprint at the Japanese Grand Prix, held in the early hours of this Saturday (3) at the Motegi circuit. The Aprilia rider, who finished third in the weekend’s sprint, has reached 313 points and heads into the main race on Sunday with a seven-point advantage at the top of the standings.
The second place is held by Marc Márquez, winner this Saturday and now on 306 points, making him the main title contender alongside Martín. Marco Bezzecchi sits third with 268, followed by Pedro Acosta in fourth with 234. Fabio Di Giannantonio, on 230, completes the top five, but is under threat from Ai Ogura, sixth with 227.

The sole Brazilian on the MotoGP grid, Diogo Moreira, reached 74 points with the second-place finish earned in the early hours, and remains 14th in the standings. The LCR Honda rider now sits 20 points behind his closest rival ahead of him, the South African Brad Binder, who scored zero in the Sprint.
The MotoGP heads into the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday, with the race starting at 2 a.m.
