New images surfaced on social media of the circuit that will serve as the new stage for the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Qiddiya is preparing to enter the calendar in the 2028 season.
The premier category in motorsport is working to move from Jeddah to Qiddiya within two years, with a track being built to become the country’s new circuit.
The layout features 21 bends, and it was revealed as early as 2024 with a futuristic design, with a central focal point drawing the most attention. There is a long straight into Turn 1, rising by ten degrees and reaching a height of 70 meters, or 20 stories. At the top there is also a hairpin that drivers must follow before descending the artificial hill into a right-hand turn.
