Marco Bezzecchi was the fastest rider in the final free practice for the Aragón Grand Prix, the 13th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the session held late Friday morning (28) at the MotorLand circuit, the Italian with Aprilia clocked his best lap at 1:45.455, recorded in the closing moments of the session.
The second position went to Álex Márquez, riding a Ducati for Gresini, who was beaten by Bezzecchi by a mere 0.010 seconds. Marc Márquez, who led most of the session, finished third on a Ducati, 0.035 behind the best time. Fabio Di Giannantonio, aboard a VR46 Ducati, was fourth, while Fermín Aldeguer, from Gresini, completed the top five.
Raúl Fernández, with an Aprilia from Trackhouse, finished the session sixth, ahead of Jorge Martín, the championship leader and seventh with an Aprilia. Pedro Acosta, a KTM rider, placed eighth, while Franco Morbidelli, from VR46, ended the session ninth. Johann Zarco, back on the grid, completed the top ten aboard an LCR Honda.
The Brazilian Diogo Moreira had climbed into the group of the ten fastest in the final moments of the session but was overtaken by Zarco, finishing the practice in 11th. Consequently, the LCR Honda rider will have to go through Q1 in the classification set for Saturday morning.
The session included a crash with a little over 12 minutes remaining. Jack Miller, from Pramac, Yamaha’s satellite team, went down at Turn 2 of the Spanish circuit.
The MotoGP schedule in Alcañiz will continue on Saturday (29), with one more free practice at 5:10 a.m., qualifying from 5:50 a.m., and the Sprint at 10:00 a.m. The Aragón Grand Prix will be contested on Sunday, with a start at 9:00 a.m.
