Alonso López won this Sunday (the 30th) the Aragón Grand Prix, the 13th round of the 2026 Moto2 season. The Gresini rider started from pole position and stayed at the front of the race held at MotorLand, the circuit located in Alcañiz, Spain, for the entire contest, securing his first win of the year and the fourth in his career.
The runner-up position went to Izan Guevara, a Pramac rider who ran close to López throughout the 19 laps, but who engaged in a tough duel with David Alonso on the final lap, leaving the Aspar rider in third to complete the podium. Senna Agius crossed the line in fourth with Intact GP, while Iván Ortolá, from MSI, was fifth.
Leading the championship standings, Manuel González finished sixth aboard an Intact GP bike, with Daniel Holgado crossing the line seventh for Aspar. Deniz Oncu, from Marc VDS, ended eighth, with Alex Escrig, of KLINT, in ninth. The top ten was completed by Adrián Huertas, riding for Italtrans.
The race featured crashes. On lap 15, Collin Veijer, who was battling for third place with David Alonso, crashed at turns 4 and 5, taking him out of the race. Ángel Piqueras, who escaped the circuit without crashing, returned to the pits and retired.
The Moto2 has a continuation on September 11, 12 and 13 with the San Marino Grand Prix, scheduled for the Misano circuit in Italy.
