SG28 Racing will host, for the first time since the project began in NASCAR Brasil, a home round. The sixth race of the season takes place next weekend at the Autódromo Ayrton Senna in Londrina, and it raises the Paraná-based team’s expectations for solid results with Bruna Tomaselli and Tata Calderón.
As the vice-leader of the Challenge category, Bruna arrives energized after a victory and two podiums this season. For the Santa Catarina native, racing in Londrina represents an important opportunity;
“I’m incredibly excited to be racing at SG28 Racing’s home track and to have the ‘professor’ Carlos SG giving us track tips from someone who knows the circuit so well. I’m certain he’ll assist us a lot and we’ll put in a strong performance. We’re a little over halfway through the championship and have a good chance to fight for the title,” the driver states.
Bruna also highlights the return to mixed circuits after the Cuiabá tri-oval race. “That changes the strategies and makes the competition more intense,” notes the driver.
For Carlos SG, racing at home increases motivation but also the responsibility for results: “A home race is always great because you’re close to family and friends. Yet it significantly raises the responsibility for the outcomes. But I’m confident the girls will represent SG28 Racing very well on the track and achieve great results. It will be a brilliant week for us,” he commented.
Tata Calderón também busca manter sua evolução na temporada e conquistar seu segundo pódio. A colombiana fará ainda uma homenagem às vítimas do terremoto em seu país e disputará pela primeira vez uma prova no circuito de Londrina.
“I will race with my heart in Colombia. I want to honor all those who are rebuilding their lives. It will be my first time on the Londrina track, which is SG28 Racing’s home. That motivates me even more. From what I saw in simulator practice, it’s a technical track, old-school in style, and that fascinates me,” the driver stated.
