Driver who defends Rodin Motorsport in Formula 3, Pedro Clerot, had the chance to push at Madring, the circuit that for the first time this year hosts Formula 1. The feeder championship held on Monday (24) a day of joint testing at the track located in Madrid, Spain, and made its drivers the first to take to the circuit.
With a program focused on long runs, Clerot completed 46 laps across the two testing sessions held at the 5.416-meter circuit. The Brazilian and his team’s aim, beyond dialing in the car, was to familiarize themselves with the track, which will host the season-ending round of 2026 next September.
“Today we had the first official day of testing at the Madrid circuit. It was a highly productive day, during which we completed many laps. We had a program with a day somewhat more focused on long runs to help us familiarize ourselves with the circuit, understand what we needed to work on the car. And we did that well; I am very satisfied with all the work the team did today,” Clerot said, who also spoke about the layout of the track in the Spanish capital.
“The track is fantastic, it has characteristics somewhat similar to Monaco, it reminds a bit of Jeddah and also a little of Baku, so there is a lot for you to see when we come to race here in three weeks. It’s a fantastic circuit and I loved it, enjoyed driving, enjoyed pushing the limit on this new track, skimming close to the wall,” concluded Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.
On Tuesday (25) there will be another round of Formula 3 joint testing at Madring, while the series resumes its meetings for a race weekend on September 4–6 at the Monza Autodrome in Italy.
