The Londrina stage (PR) of the Copa Truck produced Tito Giaffone a podium on Sunday (23), after the Full Time Sports driver closed out the day’s final race in third place in the Challenge category at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna. Additionally, the driver secured tenth place overall.
During a weekend in which he led one of the free practice sessions, Tito had to surge through the field in the second race to claim the Challenge podium, rebounding from a first race in which an incident erased his chances of a strong result as he moved up through the pack, delivering one of the weekend’s prettiest overtakes.

“That last race was really nice for the championship in terms of points. We started 21st and ended up tenth overall and third in my category, so it was great to try to stay in the championship. And indeed the weekend was filled with ups and downs; we couldn’t find a constant rhythm, and for the race we found a setup that significantly improved the pace,” said Tito Giaffone, who is sponsored by PX.
The NASCAR Brasil will resume on September 20, when the category heads to Circuito dos Cristais, in Curvelo (MG), for its oval-track stage.
