The Formula 3 season enters the decisive third of 2026 with the seventh round of the championship, scheduled at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary. The driver who has claimed three podiums so far this year, the Brazilian Pedro Clerot, is aiming to climb the standings with Rodin Motorsport during this weekend’s double-header.
The driver of car number 17 comes off a strong showing at Spa-Francorchamps, crossing the finish line in third place in the Sprint race, a event in which he battled for the win throughout. Tenth in the Formula 3 standings after six rounds, Clerot is fighting to break into the top five in Hungary.
“We have shown solid pace in the recent rounds and have been able to convert strong results. In Hungary, with a tight track, it’s important to secure a good starting position, so we’ll work to maximize our performance in qualifying to be competitive at the front in both races,” said Pedro Clerot, who is backed by Banco BRB.
With 48 points accumulated over six rounds, only eight points adrift of the fifth-placed driver, Clerot sits tenth in the Formula 3 standings, where he is also the fifth-best rookie in the table. So far this year, the first ever champion of F4 Brazil has racked up three podiums, four top-five finishes, and seven top-10s.
The Formula 3 schedule in Hungary will get underway on Friday with the lone free practice session of the weekend, followed by the qualifying that will decide the grid. Saturday features the Sprint Race at 05:05, while the main race on Sunday is due to start at 03:40. F1TV will broadcast all sessions.
