The Formula 1 returns this weekend for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the 11th round of the 2026 season. Between July 24 and 26, drivers and teams push their engines at the Hungaroring, on the outskirts of Budapest, for the final race before the European summer break.
The event comes right after the Belgian GP, won by Kimi Antonelli. The Mercedes driver edged Charles Leclerc in the fight for victory at Spa-Francorchamps, while Max Verstappen completed the podium and Gabriel Bortoleto finished eighth, collecting more points for Audi.
The circuit will be entirely different from what was encountered in Belgium. With a length of 4.381 km and 14 corners, Hungaroring features a narrow and twisty layout that demands high downforce and precision from the drivers. Because overtaking is difficult, Saturday’s qualifying often plays a decisive role in the race outcome.
High European summer temperatures can also raise the drivers’ physical strain, complicate car cooling, and influence tire management. The race will consist of 70 laps.
