After triumphing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and finishing this Sunday’s race at the Interlagos Circuit with its two hypercars, TOYOTA RACING remains at the forefront of the WEC Constructors’ World Championship. The trio comprised by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries—winners of the season’s main event with car 7—completed the race in 12th place, while Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryō Hirakawa finished the event in 17th position.
Second in the drivers’ standings, the Toyota number 8 crew had to undergo a 16-minute pit stop and carry out a suspension change after being brushed near the “Laranjinha” by another hypercar, erasing any chance of finishing in the top 10. Earlier in the race, the Toyota 7 also incurred a drive-through, making the challenge even tougher for the remainder of the event.

With two hours left before the checkered flag, the sky over Interlagos grew cloudy, yet rain did not descend onto the track, and the competitors continued on dry-weather tires for every stint.
In LMGT3, the Lexus number 87, winner of the São Paulo Six Hours in 2025, concluded this year’s edition in seventh position in conjunction with Akkodis ASP Team. The Lexus number 78 finished its participation in 14th place among the GT3s.
GAZOO Racing offered a variety of experiences to the brand’s customers throughout the Six Hours of São Paulo. From activities in the hospitality boxes and pit areas, to displays of the GR Yaris and GR Corolla at its stand inside the Fan Zone. The visitor entertainment area provided simulators, kids’ mini electric cars, a boutique with official GR merchandise, as well as displays of scale models and trophies won by its drivers in Stock Car.

The next WEC round will be contested on September 6 at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, for another 6-hour race. The Brazilian round of the World Endurance Championship returns in 2027 on July 11.
