Interlagos Circuit, the venue hosting the 6 Hours of São Paulo and the fourth round of the 2026 World Endurance Championship (WEC) season, presents an additional challenge for TOYOTA RACING: it is the shortest track on the championship calendar. The series reaches the 4,309-meter circuit after the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the Circuit de la Sarthe, which spans more than 13 kilometers.
The drivers had their first encounter with the track for the Brazilian round of the World Endurance Championship this Friday (10), when the WEC carried out the weekend’s two opening free practice sessions, each lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. The team is working on the best setup ahead of the race scheduled for this Sunday at Interlagos.

Winner of the French round of the championship alongside Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway, Nyck de Vries highlighted TOYOTA RACING’s work to adapt to any track the World Endurance Championship visits. More than that, the Dutchman and leader in the standings with his teammates underscored the information the team possesses from its visits to the circuit in the Brazilian capital.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve come to Interlagos. The team has a wealth of data-simulation tools at its disposal. In addition, we have our preparation process for each race, and we carried it out here as well. The team has enough experience to adapt to the situation. That requires different commitments and characteristics, even if it isn’t something unfamiliar to us,” Nyck de Vries said.
After the first free practice sessions on Friday, the schedule for the 6 Hours of São Paulo continues on Saturday, first with one more free practice at 10:10, and the qualifying, with a start scheduled for 14:30. The fourth round of the WEC will be contested on Sunday, with lights out at 11:30 local time. BandSports and YouTube will broadcast the races live.
