F1: Full 2026 British Grand Prix results after Sainz’s penalty

The FIA confirmed changes to the official result of the 2026 British Grand Prix in Formula 1 after imposing a one-lap penalty on Carlos Sainz. The Williams driver was penalized for an irregular procedure during the Safety Car period and dropped to 17th place in the final classification.

As a result, Charles Leclerc secured what would be Ferrari’s first victory of the season. George Russell finished in second, just 0.427 seconds behind the winner, while Lewis Hamilton completed the podium in front of the British crowd. Lando Norris and Isack Hadjar closed out the Top 5.

The Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto also drew attention by finishing eighth and collecting important points for Audi. Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly completed the points-paying positions.
