Saturday (the 30th) of NASCAR Brasil at the Interlagos Autódromo saw Cacá Bueno win the Sprint Race, the event that defined the starting positions for the third round of the 2026 season. The Team RC driver led both rounds of qualifying on the São Paulo circuit and won the short race from start to finish, securing the pole position for the stage.
“It’s a victory. Today we didn’t just outperform six drivers, but the entire grid in Q1 and half of them in Q2. It’s a qualifying session, but it’s also a race; it’s different from simply doing a fast lap. I’m happy with the car, happy with the team, happy that we found and fixed a very serious brake issue. I’m happy,” said Cacá Bueno, who celebrated the win on the podium beside his daughter, Bella.
“Usually the trophy goes to my son’s room (Cadu), but this one goes to Bella’s room, who came to watch and stepped onto the podium with me to celebrate. She grabbed the trophy, so it’s hers. Tomorrow we’ll go all out, but we’ve seen that Arthur Gama is very strong. I got off to a great start, opened a solid lead and thought I would break away, but he came back very strongly,” explained the driver.
“The tow here on this track yields almost a second, so we have to open up a lot. After the third lap my tire heated up, so the pace started to improve. There is still room for improvement in the car, but every time we join forces with RC we achieve good results. There is still a lot of work to do, but I am extremely happy,” concluded Cacá Bueno, who is sponsored by Betnacional, Capital Concreto, PicPay, ACDelco, SpeedMax Pneus, Pneu Store, Milwaukee, Turbi, and Chevrolet.
Following the Sprint Race, NASCAR Brasil stages its two races for the third round on Sunday. The first is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., with broadcasts on SBT and YouTube. The concluding race of the São Paulo leg is set to start at 2:00 p.m., broadcast on RedeTV! and YouTube.
