Riding the wave of affordable electrification, the Fiat Pulse Hybrid 2025 establishes itself as one of the most balanced options in the Brazilian market. After a trip of over a thousand kilometers between São Paulo and Londrina (round trip) with the Impetus version, the compact SUV made it clear why it can be considered an urban hybrid with a highway soul.
The Pulse hybrid is equipped with mHEV (mild hybrid) technology, which combines the 1.0 turbo T200 engine with up to 130 cv and a 12V electric system. This system acts at strategic moments to reduce consumption, smooth starts, and offer slight assistance in accelerations, without the complexity of a traditional hybrid.
Great comfort for the category
During the trip, comfort was one of the highlights. The suspension handles irregular asphalt well, transmitting stability at cruising speeds. The acoustic insulation also pleases, working for a more tranquil drive, whether in urban traffic or on long stretches of highway.
Interior space is another positive point. Even with luggage for the trip, the 370-liter trunk was up to the task. The well-designed seats favor ergonomics even after hours behind the wheel.
Practicality and technology in measure
In the city, the Pulse hybrid shows good drivability, high visibility (SUV style), and light steering — factors that facilitate maneuvers and make daily use more enjoyable. The hybrid version comes equipped with a 10.1” multimedia center with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an intuitive digital panel, automatic digital air conditioning, and wireless cell phone charging.

The model also offers standard driving assistants, such as emergency autonomous braking, lane departure warning, and automatic headlight switching, reinforcing the proposal of a modern and safe urban SUV.
Consumption and performance: focus on balance
During the trip, consumption proved to be quite satisfactory. On the highway, the Pulse hybrid reached over 15 km/l with gasoline, depending on the driving rhythm. In the city, the average remains between 12 and 13 km/l, showing that the light hybrid system fulfills its role of reducing consumption without significantly increasing project costs.
With 130 cv and 20.4 kgfm of torque, the SUV delivers agile and competent performance, especially in accelerations. The CVT gearbox simulates gears and helps keep the engine in its ideal torque range.

Competing with rivals
In the compact SUV segment, the Fiat Pulse Hybrid Impetus faces several rivals like the Renault Kardian, VW Nivus, and Chevrolet Tracker. The big differentiator of the Pulse is precisely the light-hybrid set, which is still non-existent in direct competitors.
In this scenario, the Fiat Pulse hybrid 2025 positions itself as a good choice, balancing cost-benefit, economy, and a good dose of technology, in addition to being a very comfortable compact SUV for daily life in cities and also for trips. The model, which is undergoing a slight restyling in the 2026 line to face VW Tera and VW Nivus, can be found in good deals at Fiat dealerships.
