The latest round of the Hungarian championship, 16. BFGoodrich Veszprém Rally, takes place on 3-4 July 2009.
Preview of the top seeds:
#1 seed, with the Subaru Rally Team Hungary colours, is Herczig Norbert – Baranyai László in the Subaru S11 WRC. They lead the championship after three asphalt rounds. The Subaru is prepared by Italian Aimont Racing.
#2 is last year's winner and the rally appealing Spitzmüller Csaba deserves him, who his navigator, with Kazár Miklós in the Mitsubishi Lancer 05 WRC would like to win for a second in Hell Racing Team colours. The car the English MML Sports prepares it for the challenges of the Hungarian.
#3 Turán Frigyes – Zsíros Gábor return in their Bozian prepared Peugeot 307 WRC. They came close to winning last year only for a puncture.
#7 Turi Tamás – Tóth Imre who will be in a 2007 Subaru 12B WRC. Turi Tamás competed on the previous round following an accident in January's opening round. The car is run by the Hungarian Korda Racing team and is an ex-Chris Atkinson and Petter Solberg mount from the WRC.
Open Rally Championship positions, following three asphalt rounds: 1. Herczig Norbert 57 p , 2. Spitzmüller Csaba 49 p, 3. Érdi Tibor Jr. 34 p.
Hungarian National Championship positions following three asphalt rounds . 1. Hadik András 26 p - Subaru Impreza N12, 2.ASI 20 p - Mitsubishi Evo IX, 3. Trencsényi József 16 p - Mitsubishi Evo IX .
