Valentino Rossi would only consider a full-time switch to the WRC if he was to get the best car available, according to Motorsport News.

Rossi finished a creditable 12th overall on last weekend's Wales Rally GB where he faced atrocious weather conditions driving the M-Sport Stobart VK Ford Focus 07 WRC.

Although the MotoGP star's contract with Yamaha expires at the end of 2010, he is already contemplating switching to rallying in two years from now.

Speaking to MN Rossi commented:

I'm used to working at the top in MotoGP so when I try other things I always try to stay at the top because the quality of my work has to be the same.

For me I would only be interested to drive the best car available."

Malcolm Wilson would like to see Rossi drive for the team again as he explained to MN:

Everybody would like to have Valentino in the team because of the interest he brings to us.

It's bringing another dimension of people to see the sport so I will always try be happy to accommodate him in the team if he ever did want to do any more."
