Travis Pastrana wins gold medal at 2008 X Games 14 Rally, Tanner Foust silver, as Dave Mirra and Ken Block share bronze

Travis Pastrana won another rally gold medal as he beat last year's winner Tanner Foust in the Rally Car Racing (as it is known in the US) final of X Games 2008 rally in LA at the Home Depot Centre. Foust hit a wall when exiting the arena for the street course which affected the rest of his run and prevented a real challenge to Travis.
Pastrana victory quotes:
I'm really excited to be here and to have a chance to come back. This feels really good.
You have to push, If I'm a little bit behind, I have to make up that time, and the only way to make up that time is full video game style. You just start bouncing off stuff."
Ken Block and Dave Mirra both suffered problems and retired during their semi-final and had to miss the chance to meet TP, but both shared a bronze medal. Block damaged his radiator after a heavy landing on the jump in the quater finals, then stopped on the startline of the semis. BMX star Dave Mirra had an off also in his quarters but limped to the finish, as ACP rolled (read below), but retired in the semi.
Others who suffered problems throughout X Games Fourteen included Niall McShea, in the Vermont Sports Car Subaru WRX STi, who broke the steering on the first heat when he clipped a concrete block, this allowed Travis Hanson to qualify for the next round. Andrew Comrie-Picard suffered a huge roll (flip in the US) as his Mitsubishi Open Class car landed heavily on the 70ft jump and went end over end in his quater. Matt Johson was a real fans hero in his Subaru and was unlucky not to qualify for a chance at a medal as pushed Block in the quater finals.
