Travis Pastrana had to forfeit his entry on the recent Rally of Turkey due to a bad accident on the latest Rally America round. Pastrana's team will now have to contest NORF as they received dispensation from the FIA to miss Turkey, according to Motorsport News. Precise detail has not been released about why they were unable to go to Turkey.
The accident on the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally was pretty severe. Pastrana rolled the car heavily with it catching fire. Derek Ringer, Pastrana's co-driver, was slightly injured when he went to warn other competitors of the crash. The event marked Travis' debut in the new Subaru N14 Sti.

Pastrana may now have to miss his beloved X Games event as a consequence of competing in Finland as the dates clash. Failure to compete in Finland would mean Subaru Rally Team USA would be excluded from this year's PWRC and face a heavy fine, according to the FIA regulations. Though, it looks as if Subaru Rally Team USA will nominate another driver and team, (a Finnish crew entered as Subaru Rally Team International) in accordance with the regulations, in Pastrana's place to avoid penalty, allowing Pastrana to still be able to contest X Games 14.
